Kate is a stay at home "mum" to two beautiful children, Lila, 3 and Max, 1. She has always been passionate about simple, battery free, creative and imaginative play. She tells me that a ribbon wand found it's way into their home two years ago, and soon after became her daughter's most played with toy in the house. She tried finding more to give as gifts but had no success in her search...so she figured with some of her own creativity (which she has loads of!), she could make them herself!!!

Pinwheels and Pearls was launched earlier this year, and since it's start she has been creating wands nonstop. She says lovingly that her biggest supporter is her husband who hand sands all of the wands...in Kate's words "What an amazing man he is!"

Kate loves making the wands, in particular for weddings, as flower girls adore receiving them and feel like little princesses.

Kate also mentions that the wands are a wonderful and creative prop for photographers, and are loads of fun to play with and a beautiful toy to be used as a keepsake to remember a special event (they make party favours and stocking stuffers, too!).
