Tea Party In Rose Garden

How does your garden grow?

It is June, the time when so many roses are in bloom. Do you have a beautiful garden? It could be the perfect setting for your next party!

Flowers are stunning decor we simply cannot match in terms of fragrance, beauty, color, texture--if you have a blooming outdoor space, I encourage you to celebrate in it! Minimal extra decor required, thanks to all the beautiful flowers.

My mother absolutely adores gardening, and over the last 10 years her rose garden has really grown into something spectacular. I thought it would be the perfect setting for a little tea party!

Being a beautiful day and her neighbors working in their gardens as she was working in hers, we invited them over for a casual, impromptu rose garden tea party (I was over visiting her, and I always admire her flower beds).

We grabbed wicker chairs off the porch, a basic card table, threw on a beautiful floral table cloth, and put her prize blooms of the day in a teapot as the centerpiece.

My mother has a large collection of tea, so that was an easy grab. We just filled up the sugar and creamer, and set out some almond cookies she had been looking for an excuse to share.

We used my great-grandmother's dainty china (oh, how I love this pattern!) and as my mother has a large variety of tea, she also has a great selection of tea pots so we were sure to pull out some favorites.

We used basic silver flatware and beautiful white lace-trimmed cloth napkins.

It was a perfect opportunity to have an impromptu gathering and enjoy the outdoors.

Be sure that when you host your outdoor gathering, that if you live in an area where mosquitos are prevalent, you select a time when they aren't at their worse in terms of presence, or else provide lots of bug spray!

That is so lovely! I wish I was having this tea party instead of working today :)
But this has brighted my day.
