I had a chance to ask Heather, creator and designer behind Chickabug, a few questions, and forgot to include in the original giveaway post, so I am excited to share it with you now!!
{Question}: Tell me more about Chickabug, how did you start, what's it about?
{Answer}: Well, I've been working as a graphic designer for over 10 years, and throughout that time I've always designed invitations, wedding programs, etc. for my friends. I've always jumped at the chance to create something meaningful that someone will love and enjoy.
I started selling on Etsy last year on a bit of a whim. I'd designed a birthday invitation for a friend who'd shopped around but not found anything she liked. She got lots of compliments on the invitation I made for her, so I thought I'd set up a shop and see what happened!
I didn't know what to expect and really just went with the flow at first. If a customer needed something, I'd design it, and then I'd offer it for sale because I figured someone else might want it, too. It's been a huge learning curve for me! Everything I've learned has come from my customers, and I've redesigned my shop about a thousand times in the process. It's been SO much work, but I really love it!
I've met so many wonderful and creative people, and it's been so rewarding. Plus, it's really fun being able to design CUTE stuff for a change! : )

{Question} What are your future goals for Chickabug?
{Answer} My goal for the future is simple: To make Chickabug my full-time job. I'd love to be able to keep doing everything I've been doing – just more of it! Besides that, my dream is to have an intern who will package up my orders for me. Maybe a nice unsuspecting college student with a talent for a tape gun! I'd love that! ; )
{Note to Heather: I think we all would!}
Many thanks for sponsoring such a lovely giveaway Heather, and thank you for your insight!
