A Choo-Choo Train Birthday Party

All Aboard!!! My truly lovely client Rochelle was kind enough to share with us photos from her son Harrison's adorable train themed birthday party. {photos by Chris Wiegand}

Rochelle is a true delight to work with--she was so creative, and doing this long-distance she did an incredible job of executing everything on her own.  She and I started working together late last spring with her daughter's first birthday party {post coming soon!}, and shortly after we went right into planning this choo-choo train party for one of her darling boys.

In this case, Rochelle had many of the details already created in her mind--great ideas, indeed!!!

The birthday boy and his brother wore a choo-choo train appliqued shirts, perfect for the trian party!

Each station had its own sign. There was the "Cullum Train Station", the dining car and so forth.

The "Cullum Station" is where kids were able to hop on for a train ride with parents!

The "Dining Car" was a fabulous station set up with a local company who grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for all the guests.

Kids sat at tables set up outside.

You will notice classic white children's chairs, blue tablecloths, and a personalized train pouch at each setting designating their special seats.

For fun, the kids had birthday bubbles as take-home treats (custom printed labels from Kate Landers Events, LLC).

For dessert, I thought it would be fun to have a decorate-your-own-cupcake station. Rochelle did a great job of setting it up to look like a mini train station!

Toppings were set up for the kids and adults to use while decorating their cup sized cake {all printables from Kate Landers Events, LLC}.

I love the train cut-out cupcake wraps Rochelle used!!!

The birthday boy Harrison loves Thomas The Train, therefore Rochelle made sure there were some "Thomas" elements at the party, such as the birthday cake!!!

Check out these vintage-insired boxes of train treats on the cake table!

Guests were able to take home adorable train cookies.

Another "Thomas The Train" treat {activity} for the birthday boy and his guests!

We had custom created a fine wale corduroy banner for the party, which Rochelle moved to Harrison's room after the party. I love it!

Many thanks Rochelle, for sharing your terrific train party inspiration!!!

Oh my, every adorable detail was so well-planned! Amazing how this was coordinated "long distance" and so lovingly executed. (pls. don't tell me Rochelle cut out those train cupcake sleeves herself!) Thank you for a great post.

Oh this is just too sweet! I am thinking of doing a train theme for my son's birthday this year. Do you know where she got those great train treat boxes?
