{Spa Party} Georgia's Hot Springs Birthday Celebration
Lilian of Lily Chic Events and Olivers Alma Cottage is known as a most creative and talented event designer, entreprenuer, and lovely mother. While I have not had the great pleasure and honor of meeting Lilian {yet}, I can say from all of our correspondence, that she is a tremendously thoughtful, kind, gracious woman.
She often shares and promotes the work of others who inspire her, and doesn't miss a beat crediting artisans and designers she works with and adores.
Lilian is a rare gem and I for one hope she will continue to create and blog, as she inspires me and so many others.
It is a tremendous pleasure to have the honor of debuting Lilian's latest party, a Hot Springs Spa party for one of her wonderful daughters. It is such a treasure to savor all these beautiful images of the details Lilian came up with, and find party inspiration for a slightly older girl--which is much harder to find these days than parties for the little ones.
Thank you Lilian! Here are all the details of the day, as narrated by Lilian herself:
PARTY DETAILS
As a mum of four daughters, I find it quite a challenge to come up with a party theme that is age appropriate and unique! We had taken the girls to the Hot Springs on a couple of occasions and knew that it was great for children as well as adults. Georgia, who was turning 11, loved the idea of taking her friends to the Hot Springs, so it was settled! It was a slight twist on your typical Spa Party. We had eight girls attend the Party and it was a full day of Party fun!
INVITATIONS
I love Loralee Lewis and knew I wanted her to come up with Georgia's Invitations and party paperie so I emailed her, hoping and praying that she would reply back! My prayers were answered and Loralee said she would be thrilled to design the invitation and Printables! I had chosen the colours lavender, citrus and silver and Loralee came up with the design. It suited the party and looked amazing.
PARTY DECOR
The sweet table was based around the gorgeous silk fabric I found. Because the print on the fabric was quite detailed, I chose to keep the table very simple and fresh.
We has a couple of food intolerant children at the party so instead of having lots of chocolate, I opted for shimmering gumballs, small sixlets, lemonade jelly beans and heart shaped lollies.
The cupcakes were lemon curd flavoured and the gorgeous birthday cake was made by me very talented sister in law Lauren who owns her own business called LOve Cakes.
Georgia chose the flavour white chocolate mud with raspberries for the cake and it tasted amazing!! The pom pom toppers were from Potter and Butler on Etsy.
The main table consisted of a peach ruffled runner made by Vintage Sew and So, topped with white boxes that doubled as the macaron and flower holders!
The purple boxes were made by me and they contained a small gift for each guest of some Mango Body Butter, a loofah, a face washer and some hand made soap which I wrapped in fabric.
All of the guests also got their own monogrammed body towel...
... and a calico bag {which I used one of Loralee Lewis' iron on labels to add the girls names on the front}. I also hand sewed buttons to add a bit of flair! In these bags the guests received some flip flops for the Hot Springs and some sweet smelling deodorant!
After we visited the Hot Springs, we started up a bonfire for the girls and they made s'mores using hand made marshmallows by One Sweet Girl.
The flavours were Peach, Blueberry, Vanilla with Choc Chips and Key Lime. They were delicious!
We all had an amazing day and would highly recommend it for this age group. {The mum's of the girls were very jealous and stayed around taking pictures before the party officially started!}
A huge thank you to Lee from Lee Bird Photography for the beautiful photography and patience on the day!
